World Card Making Day

What? A holiday for cratiness? FUN!

This saturday, October 3rd is World Card Making Day! Blogs around the world will be inspiring crafty people to make and give a little love in an envelope. I won't be participating (I will be in Chicago this weekend!), I wanted to spread the paper love to all of you! Here are a few websites you can visit for information, inspirations, games, and prizes!

Hope you take a little time to put together a card. Even those of you who are not 'scrapbookers' can enjoy sending a card. Not sure where to start? Try taking a class at Archivers. I may be biased, but I think their classes are lots of fun, easy for beginners, and give you something special to take home with you (finished cards!). You can see a class list here.

Back to work for me, have a great day!

Happy Friday! Just a quick post to share a few lil projects I cooked up last week. Thanks for looking!

I found out recently that a good friend of the family is dealing with some serious health issues. She had breast cancer two years ago and it may have returned. Sigh. I wanted to send her a note to tell her how much we all love her and are thinking of her, without being overly sentimental. I thought bright colors and a whimsical look would fit the bill

This card is for my sis-in-law who had her twin boys the day before her birthday! I guess you can say it was one to remember.

I decided to make both cards to go along with two challenges: 2Sketches4You and SPCC color challenge. Check them out. LOTS of great ideas and crafty people!

A few random layouts:

The wedding layouts uses some of the prettiest Basic Grey papers ever! The 'Just Ducky' layouts features bits and pieces of decorations I made for the shower.

Have a great weekend everyone! I am heading up to Bowling Green, OH to meet THE TWINS so I will be back on Monday with lots of pictures!

C Squared

They are here! The twins made an early entrance Saturday night (we were not expecting them for another couple of weeks). Conner Anthony came first, at 4 lbs, 8 oz. Brother Carson David came in at a whopping 5 lbs. 5 oz. My father and his wife were lucky enought to go up meet the boys on Sunday, and shared these pictures with eager aunts and uncles.

Aren't they adorable!?! I hope to see them in person and give them lots of hugs!

Don't Dave and Beth look like the proudest and happiest parents ever? They have no idea what they are in for! HA.

Hopefully the 2 C's will be going home soon.

Thanks for sharing my happy news!

As Cool As The Other Side Of The Pillow.

August was a FUN month, September has snuck up on me. I few randoms chez Michelle:

{HALLOWEEN}

By far the most fun holiday, and people around here are already talking about it. I am busy planning my costume, scheming a few fun decorations, creating Halloween cards for a few special people,and making my party plans. Scrapbbok products like these are putting me in a crafty mood:

{TWINS}
My sis-in-law is in the home stretch. By the beginning of next month the twins will be here! Need to get on the baby shopping..

{CRAFTS}
Afer a busy summer, I finally have time for some scrapping mojo. I have a lot of projects done, and a few more in the works. Enjoy:

If you are looking for a little kick in the butt,prize induced motivation, considering joining LOAD. Lain Ehmann's Layout a Day Challenge. I was lucky enough to win a spot in her March group, and had so much fun participating, even if I fell short of the goal. Lain's blog is a hoot and she is great hostess!

One last thing (for now). I have been reading about a sweet girl named Kate McRae, who is fighting a brain tumor. Some of my bloggy friends have started a card drive for her and her siblings. You can find details here. They are collectign cards until October to send to the family, and last weekend me and the kids at OWL decided to draft up a few:

Please consider making a card or two. Who doesnt like mail, right? And if this family ever needed a pick me up, it's now.

Happy Wednesday!
