Happy Friday, y'all!
I've been busy, busy around here working on a little something I sneaked in my last post. Here's another little peek.....
Today I wanted to share a couple of layouts I made as I wrap up my 2013 scrapbook. When it comes to documenting my life, I do not feel pressure to be 'caught up' or done, but I do like to put a pin on one year before I start the book for the next year. Sometimes I go back if there was a big event like a vacation I want to get in, but for everyday stuff I tend to finish up one year and call it done. So, on a snowy day here in the KY I pulled out a kit I was gifted for my birthday and recorded two favorite memories from the holidays. Check it out:
{THE ADVENTURES OF RUDY}
I have my first piece of yard art, y'all! I was more excited than I should have been to get this light up Rudolph and amused myself one day by taking pictures of him in his natural habitat....... In addition to the Studio Calico December kit I added some woodgrain Thickers, washi tape and an awesome stamp from Elise Joy (unfortunately, no longer available). The SC kit is now sold out, but I linked up most of the products below if you want to recreate the same look! I loved working with it- the mix of navy, pink and gold was a fun combo and made this really easy!
You may be able to tell that I tried to stitch around the border, but ahem...my sewing machine was not cooperating. Fine......whatever.I could have started over, but I decided just to embrace it and move on.
{THIS IS THE BEST}
These four. They are the best! I love watching them hang out together and having fun, makes my heart happy. I have a big group of awesome cousins and I really love watching them group up together. These pictures are from a fun weekend we spent at my brother's new home- which has an indoor pool! How cool is that? And that dog.....that is my favorite Golden named Dixie. She is the sweetest dog, I love her. And, obviously, she put herself right into the action and got a good belly rub.
Nothing too fancy here, but I did add a few bits and pieces from my Kelly Purkey December kit from Simon Says Stamp. I loved loved LOVED this kit, I can't wait to share the mini album I made with it. Maybe closer to next Christmas?Please come back on Friday for something BIG BIG BIG! A project I have been working on full steam for a while now and I can't wait to share!!
Please click over and check out all the fun products I used today, I really appreciate all the support!
