Hey friends, how are you doing?
That is a loaded question this month, isn't it? Like many of you I have been trying to follow the news, stay healthy, do my job, keep my connections (friends and family)....all while trying to NOT to panic and feel a bit helpless. It is a LOT.Like many of you, I have craved a way to connect to my loved ones in this new way of 'social distancing'. For me that includes: Facebook, Facetime, and good old fashioned HAPPY MAIL. Many years ago my shop sold only handmade cards and stationery. I created the hastag #happymailisthebestmail on IG just celebrate the joys of snail mail. I still send a lot of cards in the mail - birthdays, holidays, just because - it's my favorite way to show my loved ones I am thinking about them.
What better time than RIGHT NOW to send a card to someone you love? All you need is a pen, a stamp and a little time (and we all have a little more time at home, don't we?). Over the weekend I created a set of printable notecards for you to download and share! Two versions: one to print and color on your own (#stresscrafting) and one already full color. Print as many as you want! Send them to neighbors, friends, family, maybe even your favorite healthcare workers! Let's spread a little happy mail joy, friends.
If you can, share a picture of your happy mail with #happymailisthebestmail on IG and Facebook. I would lovvveee to see people sending happy mail this month.
To get the download files: Use this link PRINTABLE NOTE CARDS . Just sign up for my email list and instantly you'll get an email with the download files! Download the zip file. Extract the files. Choose which one (outline or full color) you want and PRINT!
A few tips:
* I printed mine on #110 cardstock, which is great for coloring with markers! Print them on your home computer or take the PDF to your local copy shop
* Short on stamps? You can get them at the grocery store while you are stocking up on snacks
* Print a big stack and share them with your friends. These would make a GREAT kids activity.
Don't forget, share these cards with your friends and family online. Tag me @hotwheelsandglueguns and use #happymailisthebestmail.
Hang in there, friends - we are all in this together!
xoxo,
Michelle
