Watercolor Cards Using Mama Elephant

Mama Elephant, one of my favorite stamp companies posted this challenge on their blog
I was really inspired by this challenge, some of my favorite colors! I ended up making three really pretty cards! Check it out:

{You Are Simply Wonderful}
supplies: Mr Huey's: Piglet, Silver and Boss Lady , Smitten stamp from Mama Elephant, gold and white embossing powders, sequins, Versamark ink

With this card I clear embossed the sentiment on white paper, then painted over it with slightly watered down Mr. Huey inks. To make the feather I embossed in white and gold on vellum, then cut it out. Those might be my new favorite thing. I am definitely going to do this again, I love the way it looks!

{Make My Heart Sing}

This card swirled around in my mind for a few days until inspiration hit. I liked the circular pattern of the collage and wanted to recreate it somehow. I took the arrows from the Triangles background stamp and.....cut it apart! I then mounted them on my clear block in a swirl pattern. It took a few tries to get it right, but I love love love how it looks! In case it isn't clear I used the Distress Ink and a dauber to add a little pink. Just a little pop of color.

{Let's Go On An Adventure!}

I have been saving this piece of astrology paper from AC for a while with just this kind of card in mind. I used my sewing machine to stitch out one of the constellations to make it stand out. Pretty straight forward card, but I love it!

So, that's all for today! Thanks for coming by. Friday I will be back with a very special scrapbook layout!
